Simple to Sophisticate

Although the hourglass is in constant rotation,
Dialogue transpires periodically

Conversations of superficial concern voice conditioned interrogation
Still what remains are you and me

Where are the endearments of love and affection?

The display of security from within?

My gratefulness cannot be measured with slight vocal confirmation
Nor can it be proclaimed with an eccentric din

Indeed, our hearts will keep time with spiritual fervor
As I remind you of this:

Our experiences can only get better
As you will forever be my beloved First Kiss

No other can take your place
For we are a perfect fit

Nor can a place ever replace

That night your lips and mine hit.
