Medieval Madness

MEDIEVAL TIMES - I went there tonight for the first time to celebrate a friend's birthday. It was a little bizarre... the strangeness reminded me of a Renaissance Fair I went to on a class field trip back in the day. Everyone spoke in phony British accents, dressed in layered garb forgetting to coordinate their hair, and kept claiming that certain etiquette was required in the royal court. Somehow, I could not get past the smell of horses so close to where I was eating. Nor could I adapt to call our server a Wench (at her request). I packed plastic cutlery in my purse, but sucked it up and ate with my hands. Ew.

The actual horse show was entertaining though! Our Blue knight that we were assigned to cheer for was the most handsome of the bunch. There was even a spontaneous dance party at the lounge area afterward that we all got our groove on too. I just doubt that "my people" existed in the Medieval/Renaissance time though. Did everyone forget that Europeans didn't shower then either?
